Canevaro castle, the story of Anna and Philip
Overlooking the enchanting bay of Portofino, Castello Canevaro is a dream location for your wedding, a place where history, nature and charm blend, elegant, refined and exclusive.
Ancient and noble fortification built in the 16th century, the Canevaro castle has recently undergone a careful restoration which has allowed it to reveal the charm of the past in a comfortable and refined setting.
The large one-hectare park surrounding the castle can be set up with different solutions for the entire outdoor reception, the buffet, the aperitif, the cutting of the cake.
The castle stands on a spur from which it commands an enchanting view of the Gulf of Tigullio which gives the location an unparalleled charm.
On the main floor of the castle there are large and elegant rooms, suitable for your reception in any season.
dinner with sea view: mix of elegance and refinement
The preparation of the bride and groom took place entirely in the spaces of the castle: in fact there is a large and spacious suite where they can stay and prepare as best as possible for the wedding while the ceremony took place in the town church, the Church of San Martino, a few steps from the location, which allowed the kids to reach it in complete comfort.
After the function everything then took place on the terraces of the castle where the abundant aperitif was served by the catering with a wide choice of food and typical Ligurian recipes that amazed and accompanied the guests including the famous focaccia di Recco, served hot on the spot .
The dinner, however, was set up in another slightly more private part, directly overlooking the sea: very scenic and from where you could enjoy a beautiful sunset, which truly left everyone enchanted by the beauty of the colors of the landscape.

With Anna and Filippo we decided to treat ourselves to a privileged part of the castle: the roof above the suite. Amazing point from which you can admire the sunset and fully enjoy a truly unique golden hour on the Gulf!
They are a joyful and playful couple and shooting with them was truly a pleasure and the photos came out exactly as I wanted and as I usually take home: natural, spontaneous and above all true.
Once sunset we decided to take another short walk through the small “secret” staircase that connects the location to the beach below and we took a few shots as close as possible to the sea between the eyes of the last bathers.
The evening then ended amidst the festive atmosphere of their friends and family and their wild dancing!
