Elopement in Portofino

Always considered one of the most beautiful places in Italy, a symbol of luxury and a destination for VIPs from all over the world, Portofino is a little jewel in the Tigullio, with a truly tiny and characteristic historic centre, with traditional colored houses, and a small Bay. In short, a perfect place to swear eternal love.

After their preparation in an accommodation a few steps from the centre, the couple decided to exchange their vows in the iconic square of the town: the weather didn’t seem to cooperate but in the end a beautiful sun came out and we managed to finish the whole day rite without umbrellas and with passers-by stopping curiously.

Once the formalities were over and a few photos of the couple were over, we moved on to the fun part of the afternoon: spritz and Ligurian focaccia!

Portofino presents the classic characteristics of Ligurian villages that everyone loves: the bright colors of the houses. Obviously I tried to make the most of them despite the rain and despite the people crowded into the small spaces. Another thing that we managed to exploit to our enormous advantage was the light that came out as soon as the clouds cleared, that beautiful light that only the passage of a storm brings out and that all photographers hope to be able to see in a wedding day.. I was also hoping for a nice rainbow but you can’t ask for too much.
